Mr. William Lamur is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Development Bank Limited.

Born in 1959 and hailing from Ralubang, in Kokopo, East New Britain Province, Mr. Lamur holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Business Studies from the Papua New Guinea University of Technology.

He currently is the General Manager and Director of Origin Energy (PNG) Limited.

Mr. Lamur brings a wealth of experience from the Private Sector formerly he was the Personnel and Corporate Affairs Manager at Shell (PNG) Limited and the first General Manager for Shell Pacific Islands Limited based in Honiara, Solomon Islands. He has also worked for Shell in Brisbane, Australia, for several years in Managerial roles.

Currently, Mr. Lamur is also the Chairman of the East New Britain Development Corporation Limited, and a member of the PNG Business Council, Executive Member of Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Director of Anderson Foodland Ltd, and Chairman of NASFUND’S Audits & Remuneration Committee, Director & Trustee of NASFUND Board of Trustees, Member of PNG Institute of Directors, and Chairman of East New Britain Port Services.

He maintains a key interest of traditional activities of his area, including singsings and the Dukduk society.
